  • DueEast Health and Wellbeing Group meeting held on June 2nd.

     
    Notice of the next meeting or activity  to be held sometime in September will be sent out to you all.
     
    In the meantime I am sure you will not forget the opportunity to attend or participate in the 3 summer festival events in the area coming up 
     
    Take Part - at the Manor , Manor Road . Saturday June 27th 1pm - 4pm 
     
    DueEast Community Festival : Central Whitehawk, Saturday 18th July 12 noon to 4.30pm 
     
    Bristol Estate Community Festival : Saturday August 29th pm .
     
    Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at these great events.

    The next Due East Neighbourhood Council meeting is themed around health services in the Whitehawk area.

    The meeting will include opportunities for discussion about key health and wellbeing issues and how they can best be tackled in collaboration by health services, patients and community groups.

    Community Issues round up.

    • Possible bid by Manor Way to EDB for posts on verge to stop parking.

    • Ben to check progress for Kingfishers EDB bid delivery of bollards.

    • Discussion about use of planters instead of bollards

    • Patrick complaining that there is EDB work outstanding for over 14 mths therefore cannot lobby for next round in reality without knowledge that the outstanding work has been completed - also concerned that the work is overpriced. - Ben to check and get back to Patrick before the 21st December. Concern over similar problems raised by others including all aspects of the delivery of this service.
